| Versatile new copper tester for next generation broadband connections |
The new Trend Multipro Copper tester verifies that twisted pair cables have the required performance up to 30 MHz to carry the new high speed data services.
The portable and rugged instrument is an assembly of test, measurement and analysis tools in one small and easy to use unit. A large, clear screen shows results, measurements can be made automatically and assessed against preset limit masks.
The Trend Multipro Copper facilitates the installation of high speed Internet lines. A vital tool to ensure reliable and fast Internet connections.
Facilities provided are:

| End to end cable test from one end |
Tests can be made end-to-end by one operator using an optional Trend Transponder located at the far end of the cable section. The Transponder receives control signals generated by the Trend Multipro Copper and sent down the cable under test.
Transponders can be inserted into the cable at each joint to isolate faulty cable segments. To identify intermittent faults a Transponder can be permanently or temporarily connected at any point in the cable and activated by the tester when required.
The Transponder not only generates the test signals, it can change the termination of the cable under test. Under control from the Trend Multipro it can terminate the cable with its characteristic impedance or present an open circuit or a short circuit to help in fault diagnostics - for example when using the TDR or when determining the source of noise.
